The 21st Annual Jones Cup will forever be remembered for the performance of Mesa Verde’s Kim Izzi.  Her nine birdie round was headline news in Friday’s Daily Pilot. The Mesa Verde team made it look easy defending their home turf by putting up a –17 round.  Big Canyon followed with six-under.  Defending champions, Shady Canyon and Santa Ana, tied for third at even; while, Newport Beach Country Club shot a one-over to round out the field.
