Importance of Approved Tires

Mercedes Original (MO) and Mercedes Original Extended (MOE) tires are heavily road-tested to ensure they live up to the brand’s stringent performance, safety, and reliability standards. Each tire is specially designed to complement every Mercedes-Benz. Simply put, you won’t get the same level of quality from non-approved tires as you would from tires that have been strategically designed by Mercedes-Benz and top tire manufacturers.

What’s more, purchasing MO and MOE tires from us automatically enrolls you in our 12-Month Road Hazard Protection Program at no added cost. Under this program, tire replacements are covered at 100% of the original tire’s replacement cost—up to a maximum of $550 per tire—for the first 12 months.

When is Tire Replacement Necessary?

Generally, new tires include tread depths measuring 10 to 11/32nds of an inch, although the tread depths on cold weather tires are often deeper. To promote safer, more efficient handling, the U.S. Department of Transportation suggests replacing tires with tread depths as low as 2/32nds of an inch. Paying attention to your vehicle’s behavior is also a good indicator. For example, if you notice that your vehicle is slipping on wet roads more frequently, or requires longer distances to come to a complete stop, it may be time for new tires.
