What is Service B?

Typically, Mercedes-Benz vehicles follow the Flexible Service System (FSS) with Service B and Service A intervals. To ensure your vehicle is well-maintained, Service A** is followed up with Service B**—and vice versa—for the duration of your ownership. To make servicing less overwhelming, your car comes with the Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System. This system displays a notification in your multi-function instrument cluster one month prior to upcoming service—ensuring you never miss a service date!

The initial Service A appointment takes place at 10,000 miles or after 1 year, depending on which comes first. Afterward, Service A is recommended at 20,000-mile/2-year intervals for the best results. At 20,000 miles or after 2 years, Service B is required, and is also recommended at 20,000-mile/2-year intervals. The FSS guarantees you receive either Service A or Service B every 10,000 miles/1 year.

What Can You Expect?

Service B expands on the maintenances and repairs covered under Service A, ensuring every crucial aspect of your vehicle remains in top shape year after year. When you come to Fletcher Jones Motorcars Newport Beach for Service B* (for MY 2009 or newer), you’ll receive the following auto services:

  • Fluid level checks and refills per Mercedes-Benz-recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model

  • Tire (including spare) pressure corrections and, if applicable, tire pressure monitoring system reset
  • Fulfillment of requirements for your vehicle’s year and model, as shown on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA
  • Maintenance counter reset
