Updated September 2023. Did you hear Mercedes-Benz electrifying announcement? The first all-electric luxury sedan from the Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle lineup, the Mercedes-Benz EQS with the highly anticipated MBUX Hyperscreen, is expected to arrive Fall 2021. Exciting details of the all-electric member of the S-Class family can be found below!
Two Models For The U.S. Market

Automatic Comfort Doors
The optional automatic comfort doors, which are electrically powered, create an entry and exit experience unlike any other! When the Mercedes-Benz EQS first recognizes its driver approaching, the door handles will extend, and as the driver gets closer, the driver’s door opens automatically. More than that, the driver can use MBUX to open and close the passenger and rear doors, all in a one-touch operation! (Don’t worry, the doors will only open when it is safe to do so, thanks to Blind Spot Assist & parking assistance systems.)
Navigation With Electric Intelligence
Ready for the quickest and most convenient route with charging included? Navigation with Electric Intelligence offers just that; plus, energy demand is computed for the calculation of the route and the estimated charging costs per charging stop are calculated. Driver or passenger are able to edit the route to their liking, for example, if they prefer a certain charging station over another.
Acoustic Comfort
Within the cabin of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, driver and passenger alike will find their expectations for acoustic comfort met. How so? For example, there are special acoustic foams found in some of the the profiles of the shell, encapsulation of the eATS at the front & rear, drive units doubly insulated with the use of rubber mounts, and more.
