Getting your tires rotated is an essential part of maintaining your vehicle, and getting the most out of your tire investments. Find out why this service is such an important maintenance procedure, and then schedule an appointment at our Mercedes-Benz service center in Newport Beach!
The tire rotation process at Fletcher Jones Motorcars involves a licensed technician removing each of your tires and rotating them to a different wheel axle. Although it may seem inconsequential, tire rotation service is a must for drivers who prefer well-balanced handling and even tread wear. Typically, tire rotation is recommended every 5,000 to 8,000 miles; however, be sure to consult your owner’s manual or a Master Certified Technician for confirmation.
There are several advantages to getting your tires rotated – all of which improve the performance of your vehicle and save you money. Driving habits and road conditions lead to certain parts of your tires wearing down more quickly. If you put off tire rotation, you may have to replace one or more of your car’s tires much earlier than the others. Uneven tread and wear on your tires can also lead to excessive road noise and vibrations, which can be felt throughout the car, but particularly on the steering column and steering wheel. You can extend the life of each of your tires and experience a more enjoyable ride by making sure you have them rotated on a regular maintenance schedule.
