The AMG®-specific electric motors at the front and rear axles are permanently excited synchronous motors (PSM). They are characterized by an optimal balance of power increase, higher engine speeds, efficiency and noise comfort.
The system continuously distributes drive torque between the front and rear axles depending on the driving situation: compared to a mechanical all-wheel drive system, the electric-specific system ensures a significantly faster response.
Three levels of recuperation are selectable: normal, increased (which can allow one-pedal driving), and none (effectively coasting when you let off the driving pedal). A "D Auto" setting can activate the intelligent ECO Assist feature.
MBUX integrates digital in-dash displays including touchscreen technology, touch-sensitive controls, Bluetooth® hands-free and audio streaming, and an industry-advancing voice control system.
Large, curved screen unit extends from A-pillar to A-pillar. With adaptive software, MBUX adapts completely to its user and offers personalized suggestions for numerous infotainment, comfort and vehicle functions.
Intuitive, and artfully sculpted, seat-shaped controls help you and your front passenger find your ideal seating positions with 12-way power adjustment, including cushion length. A memory system recalls four stored seat positions.
Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling.
Extensive aerodynamic refinements start with the body shape, smooth undercarriage and minimal front openings. Streamlining, seam sealing, wheel design, and tire spoilers all team up to enhance riding comfort and stable handling.
The AMG®-specific black panel grille with hot-stamped vertical struts in chrome, integrated Mercedes star and "AMG" lettering characterizes the front view.
All AMG® light-alloy wheels are aerodynamically optimized. The high-performance electric sedans can also be further refined with the AMG® ceramic high-performance compound brake system.
