Under the hood of the SLC, Newport Beach drivers will find two different racing-inspired engines. The standard 2.0L turbo-4 delivers 241 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque for a daring ride, while the Mercedes-AMG® SLC 43 boasts a twin turbocharged 3.0L V6 that can generate 362 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. The latter can also blast from 0 to 60 mph just in 4.6 seconds, and has a governed top speed of 155 mph. Both engines are paired with an ultra smooth 9-speed automatic transmission for confident handling.
Whether you’re cruising down the coast or tooling around town, the agile handling of the SLC delivers a superb and controlled ride. The chassis of the Mercedes-AMG® SLC 43 sports a unique suspension tuning and increased negative camber for improved grip when cornering. For true track-ready performance, a mechanical limited-slip differential and adjustable damping are both optional equipment for the Mercedes-AMG® SLC 43. Either configuration is sure to not last long in our new vehicle inventory here at Fletcher Jones Motorcars Newport Beach.
The 2017 SLC improves upon the SLK of past to create a bolder exterior that’s fitting of the racing engine beneath the hood. The front of the 2-seat roadster features the prominent Mercedes-Benz diamond mesh grille, framed by the newly designed LED headlights. The taillights are newly redesigned as well with a slimmer, more aerodynamic appearance.
The upgraded electronic architecture of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC supports new assistive systems, like COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST®. Standard on every SLC, this system uses radar technology to monitor closing speeds between your SLC and the vehicles around it. If a collision is likely, it can help apply an ideal level of braking to reduce the severity of the collision, or avoid it entirely.
We’re very excited to get the new SLC in later this year at Fletcher Jones Motorcars Newport Beach, and will be keeping its fans updated on all the latest news as we discover it. Contact us today with any questions, or come on by for a test drive in the current SLK!
