Price: One of the first things Costa Mesa drivers will notice when comparing these two Mercedes-Benz SUVs is their starting prices. The GLC SUV starts at nearly $15,000 less than the GLE SUV.
Performance: Both models have the same base 2.0L I4 engine with a mild hybrid drive system, so both models’ base trims will deliver the same levels of performance. Where the GLE gains the advantage is having the option of a higher-powered engine when you upgrade to a higher trim in the lineup.
Space: Another advantage that the GLE SUV has is its larger interior, which provides more maximum cargo space and seating capacity.

Price: If affordability is what you’re after, then the GLE might be more suited for you since it starts at nearly $25,000 less than the GLS SUV.
Performance: If you just choose the base-level trim for each model, you’ll experience higher levels of power from the GLS since it’s standardly equipped with a more powerful engine than the GLE. However, if you upgrade to the top-level trim for each model, you’ll experience the same level of performance.
Space: If you want to maximize as much seating and storage space as you can for those Huntington Beach road trips, you might prefer the GLS. Both models are exceptionally spacious and seat up to seven people. But the GLS has a minimum seating capacity of six whereas the GLE has a minimum seating capacity of five. Additionally, the GLS provides about 10 more cubic feet of cargo space than the GLE.

Price: Although the difference isn’t too significant, the GLA is the more affordable option, starting at about $6,000 less than the GLC. Even if you upgrade to the top-level trim of the GLA, you’ll still pay a lower starting price than the base-level GLC.
Performance: Again, the difference is slight, but the GLC produces a higher level of performance than the GLA, even though both models have the same base engine.
Space: Both models seat up to five passengers comfortably, so everyone will be able to come along with you on daily drives around Laguna Beach. For the things you need to bring with you, you might favor the GLC, which has a maximum of 56.3 cubic feet of cargo space compared to the GLA, which has a maximum of 50.5 cubic feet.
