Service B Repairs and What You Can Expect
As part of the Flexible Service System, Service B works in accordance with Service A to maintain your Mercedes-Benz, from its engine, to its brakes, to its tires. For maximum effectiveness, Service B is recommended every 20,000 miles or 2 years—whichever comes first. So, if you’re due for Service B* repairs (for MY 2009 or newer), come to Fletcher Jones Motorcars Newport Beach for the full package!
Oil and Filter Change
Clean oil is a must for any car, particularly a high-performance Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The oil filter is just as important, as it keeps the oil free of debris as it lubricates the engine’s moving parts. During every oil and filter change**, we use Mercedes-Benz Synthetic Motor Oil and OEM filters to guarantee the best results.
Brake Fluid Exchange
Brake fluid exchange removes the highest possible amount of old, contaminated brake fluid and moisture, allowing the new brake fluid to do its job. Like all fluid level checks performed at our service center, brake fluid is corrected based on the Mercedes-Benz-suggested service intervals for your vehicle’s year and model.
Brake Components Inspection
Brake problems often start small and grow into costlier, more urgent repairs, particularly as brakes work especially hard to keep you in control. To protect you and your passengers, our Master Certified Technicians carefully inspect every major component of your vehicle’s brake system, including the discs, brake pads, shoes, and lines.
Cabin Filter Replacement
The cabin air filter catches odors, debris, and allergens that would otherwise circulate throughout your vehicle via the HVAC system. Our service team performs quick cabin filter replacement, getting you back on the road inside a clean, fresh-smelling cabin.
Tire Pressure Checks and Corrections
As Mercedes-Benz tire experts, we perform fast yet accurate tire pressure checks and corrections for all tires, including the spare. If necessary, we can also reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System to ensure you always have a reliable readout.
Maintenance Counter Reset
The majority of Mercedes-Benz vehicles on the road today include the Mercedes-Benz Maintenance System, which helps drivers monitor service intervals. Once Service B is completed, a technician resets the system, which removes the alert in the instrument cluster display and restarts the countdown to the next scheduled service day.
