Mercedes-Benz Active Night View Assist Plus offers Mercedes-Benz drivers the ability to more aptly detect pedestrians on the road by highlighting them on the display in the instrument cluster. The innovative safety device warns driver's to proceed with more caution and has been included in Mercedes-Benz's luxury-class models since 2009. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class has been revealed by a French promotional video for the German auto maker.

The video clip shows SLK-Class in its full SLS AMG-inspired glory. Design highlights include front quarter vents, adaptive headlights (with LED daytime running lights), an integrated trunk-lid spoiler and LED taillights.  The optional AMG package adds a revised front fascia (with LED fog lights), AMG wheels, and cross-drilled brakes.

Renault and Mercedes-Benz are going to make beautiful engine noise and horsepower together. Renault will apparently make available its new 1.6 liter diesel power plant to Mercedes-Benz for the A and B-Class starting next year. That new 1.6 liter diesel comes with an output of 128 bhp.

At the start of the season, Mercedes had hoped to challenge for the drivers' and constructors' titles.

However, they were unable to mount a serious threat to their rivals, ultimately settling for fourth in the constructors' race.

Despite this disappointment, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche insisted there was no doubt that Mercedes would continue its involvement in the sport.

Apparently, the first official drawings of the 2011 Mercedes C-Class facelift came to life on German auto site "AutoBild" - however, many car journalists remain skeptical.

The pictures show an updated sedan with revised front end, new hood, and SL-inspired headlights with LED turn signals. Inside, the cabin has been completely revamped.
