If you've ever wished for a driving experience complete with the convenience of your iPhone 4S and Siri in a total hands-free environment, you'll be happy to know Mercedes-Benz is granting it. Their magic wand? 'Drive Kit Plus.' Featuring full iPhone 4S and Siri capability, it will officially debut in the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, March 8-11.
The news should come as no surprise; Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple, was a long-time admirer of Mercedes-Benz. Now, drivers will be able to use one of his most popular innovations seamlessly while traveling.
Limited to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class until fall, it comes complete with Diamler's Digital DriveStyle App and COMAND Online multimedia system. Mercedes-Benz owners will be able to connect the iPhone 4S to the vehicle's dashboard to fully integrate with Siri, allowing you to send text messages, emails, listen to music stored on the iPhone 4S, update social media applications and much more by voice command.
'Drive Kit Plus' also plans to combine Garmin GPS with Siri, eliminating distraction of stopping the car to key in directions manually. Now, finding the best route and avoiding getting lost can be done without taking your eyes off the road.
