Nearly 300 lbs lighter than its predecessor,
the sophisticated body structure of the new SL-Class is crafted almost entirely from diecast, chilled-cast, hydroformed and extruded aluminum. And with more than 20% stronger rigidity, it tips the scales in favor of greater safety, comfort, and most of all, athletic performance.

Race-proven 19-inch AMG wheels, upgraded brakes and a sport steering wheel with perforated leather side grips put a sharper edge on both the visible presence and tangible performance prowess of the SL550.
